You can help play a crucial part in helping students obtain hands-on education and employment in their communities!

We are currently seeking local businesses, organizations, Rotary Clubs, church small groups, and individuals, who are willing to help pay for students on their journey to gainful employment.
Some important info in a nutshell:
  • In order for us to receive Federal funding for tuition, students are required to meet certain standards to participate in educational training programs - much like any other college requires. While we understand the need for entry level program requirements, we also want to help as many students as possible. Some individuals do not have access the Federal funding for a variety of reasons.
  • Our goal is to be able to provide the training those students need, as well. In order to do that, we have developed a student scholarship program.
  • Our student scholarship program will allow us to train interested students who have a strong desire to work in the food service industry, who are unable to receive Federal program funding, but who have the potential to successfully complete the Torch 180 program and obtain employment within their communities, but may not have the financial means to pay for the training.
  • We are so excited about the chance to keep growing and expanding our programs!
  • Our current goal is to raise at least: $24,800.

Who does the scholarship
program help?

The current funding goal will pay for FOUR students to complete two - 300 hours of training, for a total of 600 hours, this includes: uniforms; one on one teaching; hands on education in all areas of the restaurant industry (we offer barista, grill cook, food prep, baking, dish washing, customer service, wait staff training and comprehensive, customized soft skills training); supplies; and other program expenses. Additionally, each student will have access to a supportive staff (which includes retired special education teachers and other professionals.)

For comparison - 300 hours of training at a community college averages $3,812 per student for enrollment alone!

We customize our training to meet the individual needs of our students, which often includes one to one instruction time. We work hard to provide high quality training in a facility that allows students to gain valuable soft skills experience in a real work setting.
