You can sponsor a student and help play a crucial part in helping them obtain hands-on education and employment in their communities!

We are currently seeking local businesses, organizations, and individuals, who are willing to sponsor students on their journey to gainful employment.

Some important info in a nutshell:
  • Students are required to meet certain standards in order for them to participate in educational training programs - much like any other college requires (Just FYI, we are the only culinary satellite campus of MCTI - a college for students with disabilities). While we understand, the need for entry level program requirements, we also want to help as many students as possible.
  • Our student sponsorship program will allow us to train interested students who have a strong desire to work in the food service industry, that may have fallen short of the program requirements, but who we still feel could complete the program. We are so excited about the chance to keep growing and expanding our programs! Our current goal is to raise at least: $5,859

Who does this help?

Picture
The current goal of $5,859 will pay for SEVEN students to each complete 300 hours of training, including uniforms, one on one teaching, hands on education in all areas of the restaurant industry, access to occupational therapists, supplies and all program expenses. For comparison - 300 hours of training, plus supplies and expenses at a community college averages $3812 per student.

We customize our training to meet the individual needs of our students, which often includes one to one instruction time. We work hard to provide high quality training in a facility that allows students to gain valuable soft skills experience in a real work setting. They also have the potential, if they meet the requirements, to achieve certification from the
Michigan Career and Technical Institute.

We are proud to be able to offer this opportunity locally!
